Short but stunning maternity session at one of my faves, Coker Arboretum!

Right before this session, I was hanging out in park letting my camera warm up and an owl swooped down and sat in a tree at my eye level and just stared at me. It felt peaceful and a bit ominous and truly felt like the perfect metaphor for what you experience having your first baby. You’re excited, you’re ready, but you’re so not ready, and you have dreams and ideas but you really have no idea what to expect. It’s fun, and terrifying all at the same time. 🌻

Coker is quickly becoming one of my absolute favorites places to shoot, so much life and variety and pockets of calm. It’s perfect for a maternity session that wants to be intimate and slow!
